July 10th, 2020 Update
In talking with various people this past week, it was evident that a lot did not seem aware that we were meeting outdoors this week. So here is a reminder with all the details! :)
We will be meeting outdoors this Sunday, July 12th, at 9:00 AM (to avoid the heat of the day). We are asking all cars to enter on Marion-Cardington Road. We will be setting up a stage under the portico of our front doors, facing the large tree that sits on the left of our driveway, just as you turn into the parking lot from our Route 4 entrance. Everyone is asked to bring their own lawn chairs. Most of the best seating will be on the asphalt, though seating under the picnic shelter can work, as well as the grassy area surrounding the big tree.
The gathering will be approximately 65-75 minutes. Praise music will be "enthusiastic" and this week's message topic is "The House You Build-The Vitamin C's of Relational Life."
There will be no other AM gathering this Sunday! The gathering will be live-streamed, so if you are not planning to come and want to watch it live versus later, please tune in to our YouTube channel at about 8:55 AM.
We wanted to do at least one outdoor gathering this summer in hopes that it might encourage some who are wary of closed spaces to join us as well as some of our young families who have been concerned about their kids being limited in a closed sanctuary space. Please feel free to invite friends, neighbors, and more! If it goes well, we may think about one more before summer ends.
At the front of the stage area will be water bottles and kids activity bags. Weekly summer bulletins and offering buckets will also be at the front of both sides of the stage. You can pick up a bulletin or drop in an offering anytime up through the praise time and then after the gathering as well.
And then this Sunday night at 6:00 PM begins our Summer Sunday Series- "The Chosen", that will play on our worship center screens. Sometimes the more we push something, the more wary people seem! :) So let me just say this---check it out, you will be glad you did. If you don't like it, don't come back; but I am pretty sure once you see the first episode you will be hooked.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! If you know of others in your sphere of influence who probably won't, will you fill them in? :)
