JULY 3-- Baptism and Picnic at Delaware State Park

 

Directions:

*  Coming south from Marion on Route 23, turn left into the main entrance of Delaware State Park.  

*  Follow signs to the BEACH.  You will only turn RIGHT on your way to the beach (about a mile). 

*  Do NOT go to the camping area, marina, disc golf, or youth fishing.

*  When you arrive at the beach, go to the left front area and park.  Look for the star-shaped pinata and caterpillar playground structure.

 

If you have an open tent that provides shade and would be willing to bring it, please let Scott Mason or the office know.

 

Arrive between 10:00-10:30 a.m. and plan to stay till around 1:00 p.m.  The baptismal service will be after lunch.  You may hang out afterward if you wish.  There is no cost involved.

 

Bring your own lunch and drinks, lawn chairs, swim gear, sunscreen, etc.  We were not able to reserve a pavilion, and open-air picnic tables are scarce.  There is a bathroom area on the beach, but it might be easier to wear swimsuits/trunks under clothes.  A volleyball net is close by. 

 

There will be no tithes/offering box at the beach, but there are three alternative ways you could contribute whenever we're not meeting on campus:  

• Drop off at the church office during office hours, M-Th, 9:00-4:00

• Mail to the church--2010 Marion-Marysville Rd., Marion, OH 43302

• Give online at   https://www.cornerstonemarion.org/give

In the event of inclement weather, we will meet at our building for baptism and picnic.  Check email, Facebook, or our website that morning for directive.
